How to store passwords and forms in Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
It may happen that you have this error: “The word password you entered does not match that stored by Windows for this user name. Want substitute password you just entered this one stored in the AutoComplete? “. If you click the No button, you get a failure when your authentication. There is a simple way solve the problem:
1) In Internet Explorer, click Tools / Internet Options … then the Content tab.
2) Click the AutoComplete button …
3) Click on Clear Passwords.
The same remark can be made if you do not want that your user name continues to be suggested. Then simply click the Clear Forms button.
If this procedure is completely ineffective, perform this modification in the registry:
1) Click on Start / Run and enter Regedit
2) In the open Windows Registry Editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Protected Storage System Provider \ S-1-5-21-1482476501-2111687655-854245398-1003.
The name of that key may vary from one computer to another.
3) With the right button mouse click on this key Authorities then click the command …
4) Click on the buttons Ajouter… / Advanced … then Search.
5) In the Name column (RDN), select your username then double click on the OK button.
6) Check the Full Control box under the Allow column.
The user has the possibility to modify this tree registry.
7) Click OK and then press the F5 key to refresh the display of the registry.
In the trees down, you’ll realize that the passwords are encrypted.

In front of each key, string value String Display allows you to identify the location of encrypted data.
For example, my username and my password needed opening the mail account that I have in “Laposte.net” are stored in these two key :
* Http://www.laposte.net:StringData
* Http://www.laposte.net:StringIndex
Remove the specified key.
Now if I reconnect to my account example.com” I have the following dialog box: “Would you Windows retain this password so that you do not to enter it again next time you visit this page.
If you check no longer hold any additional password, This dialog box will not appear. This corresponds this option:
1) In Internet Explorer, click Tools / Internet Options … then the Content tab.
2) Click the AutoComplete button …
3) Uncheck the box to require the reporting of the words password.
The other check boxes present in the section Use AutoComplete allows you to refine the scope of this feature. If the feature Auto-completion does not work, follow this approach :
1) In the registry editor open system HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Protected Storage System Provider \ S-1-5-21-1482476501-2111687655-854245398-1003.
2) In the right pane, edit a DWORD value named Migrate.
3) Assign it as the value data the number 2.
We can imagine the following operation:
1) In Outlook Express, click on File / Identities / Manage identities …
2) In section Identities: selected username and click the Properties button.
3) Check the Require a password.
4) Fill in the password and then try to access identity.
If everything goes normally, you must enter the password protecting your identity now.
To remove this password (if you forget unfortunate) follow these steps:
1) In the registry editor open HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Protected Storage System Provider \ S-1-5-21-1482476501-2111687655-854245398-1003 \ Data \ 89c39569-6841-11d2-9f59-0000f8085266 \ 28c3744f-516c-4cad-bc0e-a92668fbe008.
The value chain shows as Display Data String value of this: Identities.
It should normally be different keys. Here is the steps to follow to locate the correct target :
1) Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Identities.
There are different keys in this tree CLSID which correspond to each of your identities. The value chain Username lets you make the link between identity and the corresponding CLSID key.
2) In the previous tree delete the key which corresponds to that of your identity.
For example, if I found the key CLSID: (A7BF05A6-6A16-A900-462nd-0BCCF4DC3C57) I will delete this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Protected Storage System Provider \ S-1-5-21-1482476501-2111687655-854245398-1003 \ Data \ 89c39569-6841-11d2-9f59-0000f8085266 \ A7BF05A6-6A16-A900-462nd-0BCCF4DC3C57.
If you go back to Outlook Express and you connect this ID you can see that the password is increasing demand.
It may be preferable to postpone the mask default permissions for the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Protected Storage System Provider \ S-1-5-21-1482476501-2111687655-854245398-1003.
